Sugar Loaf vision committee' to hold dance
SUGAR LOAF-The hamlet of Sugar Loaf's second annual Summer Salsa Dance fundraiser will be held at the Lycian Centre on Saturday, June 11, beginning at 7 p.m. The event, hosted by the Sugar Loaf Community Vision Committee, will feature live music by Latin dance band Sonando and a full dinner buffet catered by the Hacienda Restaurant of Goshen. A donation wine bar will feature wines from various Orange County wineries. Highlights of the evening will include salsa dance lessons by Maria Gutierrez of Warwick's Doc Fry Center and a raffle of art, crafts and services donated by the artisans and shopkeepers of Sugar Loaf. The town of Sugar Loaf was chosen by the university's planning and development graduate class as the subject of a master plan for improvement. Proceeds from the fundraiser will support the implementation of the SUNY Albany/Sugar Loaf planning project.
