West Point — Eisenhower Hall Theatre will open its new season with the bigger-than-life comic, Sinbad, on Sept. 15. The coming year is packed with Broadway musicals and special presentations, including performances of “Annie,” “The Producers” and “Ring of Fire,” spotlighting the music of the legendary Johnny Cash. Also slated to appear is the renowned seven-time Grammy award winner Al Jarreau, the only vocalist to win in three separate Grammy categories: jazz, pop, and R&B. West Point welcomes Sinbad, who is ranked by Comedy Central as one of the top stand-ups of all time. He takes audiences’ painful trials or embarrassing tribulations of day-by-day life and throws them back in their faces. He can also make it sound profound without being profane. According to Sinbad, he never tells jokes - “I don’t know any,” he admits - rather, he stalks the stage, telling real-life stories. Season ticket information is available now online at www.ikehall.com or by telephone at 938-4159.
