Tuxedo — Orphan Train Riders Program will be presented by author Tom Riley at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, March 15, at the Tuxedo Public Library at 227 Route 17 in Tuxedo. The orphan trains era (1854-1929) was the largest mass relocation of children in American history. Over 400,000 children were shipped out of New York City, Boston and Chicago on trains across America, and adopted by farm families and professionals in every state. Two became governors and five became senators. The program will include a lecture, DVD presentation, and book signing. For more information or to register, call 351-2207.
