'Playhouse hops with 'Bedroom Farce'
MONROE — The Playhouse at Museum Village continues its 22nd season with Alan Ayckbourn’s comedy, “Bedroom Farce.”
Performances are scheduled for July 8, 14, 15, 20, 21 and 22 at 8 p.m. and on Sundays July 9, 16 and 23 at 3 p.m. Les Ferguson is the director.
The premiseTrevor and Susannah are on the verge of a break-up and they’re determined to take their friends and family down with them. This self-absorbed young couple disrupts the lives of three other couples on the night a party is being given with the onstage action taking place in three separate bedrooms.
As the evening progresses, this unstable pair travels from bedroom to bedroom, raining hysterical havoc on everything they touch and assuring that no one will get any sleep.
'The Mystery of Edwin Drood'In September, The Playhouse presents the Tony-award winning musical, “The Mystery of Edwin Drood,” followed in November by “The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged)."
