CUDDEBACKVILLE-The Neversink Valley Area Museum will be hosting its annual Apple Pancake Breakfast from 8 a.m. to noon on Sunday, Oct. 16. The museum is in the D & H Canal Park at 26 Hoag Road in Cuddebackville. The breakfast will be held in the park’s Visitor’s Center at 58 Hoag Road. Volunteers will be cooking up eggs, sausages, juice, coffee and tea, along with all-you-can-eat apple pancakes. The apples for the pancakes will be provided by Slate Hill Orchards on Route 6 in Slate Hill. The day will feature rides on “Neversink Kate,” the museum’s boat, along part of the route that brought coal from the mines of Pennsylvania to the Hudson River at Kingston. The museum will also sponsor a 50-50 Raffle. Blacksmith, Jim Burr will be plying his trade at the forge in the historic blacksmith’s shop. Guided walking tours will be offered periodically during the breakfast, and the park is always available for tourists. For more information, and to reserve boat tickets, call 754-8870.
