Library hosts 'Hot Sun, Black Dirt: History of the Drowned Lands and Pine Island' on Jan. 15

Warwick — Albert Wisner Public Library will host a talk on the formation and history of the Black Dirt region by John Ruszkiewicz, president of the Drowned Lands Historical Society, on Sunday, Jan. 15, beginning at 2 p.m. All are welcome; registration is recommended. A companion exhibit, “Tools of the Trade” featuring some of the specialized implements used in farming the Black Dirt, is on display in the Wisner Room of the library.
