Hidden treasures of the Hudson Valley
Florida. Florida Public Library to host local author Anthony Musso on Nov. 13.
The Florida Public Library will host Anthony Musso on Wednesday, Nov. 13, at 6:30 p.m.
Musso is the author of eight books, primarily focusing on lesser known but historically significant sites in the Hudson Valley and Catskill regions, part of his “Hidden Treasures” series.
Following each historic site featured, Musso concludes each chapter with a physical address, or for sites off the beaten path, exact driving directions to encourage day trips to visit them.
These are the widely unknown and/or less traveled paths of treasures that exist in many communities throughout the region.
Learn about the important role that the various sites played in some of the most profound events in local and national history.
Musso was born and raised in Brooklyn. Following a tour of duty in the U.S. Army he attended Nassau Community College and Hofstra University while at the same time beginning a 38-year career with the US Postal Service.
In addition to his government service, Musso worked as a freelance correspondent for the Times Herald-Record and later as a journalist and weekly columnist with Gannett Newspapers, a position he still maintains. He lives in the Hudson Valley.
