Happenings at Wisner Library
Warwick The following events are taking place at Albert Wisner Public Library: James Amore Exhibit During the month of the July the library is featuring the art of Warwick resident James Amore in the library’s gallery. The exhibit, “Through My Eyes,” is a retrospective of nearly 40 years of work. It includes many subjects in oil, acrylic and water. Amore’s art has been used to illustrate several books and publications and has won awards in juried competition. He is a graduate of New Paltz with a bachelor’s degree in art education. The artist will be present in the gallery on Wednesday, July 13 from 6 to 7:45 p.m. to discuss his work with visitors. African Safari If you have ever wondered what it would be like to go on a safari be sure to mark your calendar for Tuesday, July 19 at 6:30 p.m. Sara de Maine Kearns and Dr. Richard Hull will present “African Safari,” a discussion and slide show at the library. Kearns has been a world traveler for her entire life. Upon retirement in 2008, she set off on a passionate journey to Africa and now plans and escorts trips to the African Continent. Hull is a Warwick resident and an African specialist. He teaches African studies at New York University. Registration is required.
