Plans for the annual Winter Carnival, scheduled during President’s weekend, February 18-20, 2022 are well underway, and will feature an extraordinary lineup of entertainment as well as events.
Featured activities for this year’s Carnival include the following:
- Indoor and outdoor activities for kids and adults
- Contests and prizes
- Live music and DJs
- Food vendors
- Beer & cider trucks
-Hot chocolate and S’mores bars
- Heated tent
- Craft vendors
- 50/50 raffles
- Tavern Olympics
- Polar plunge
- Snow tubing and ice racing (weather permitting, of course)
- After hours party and more
“This year’s Winter Carnival is expected to attract one of the largest audiences ever to the annual winter celebration held on Greenwood Lake. We have a first rate lineup of entertainment and a stunning array of vendors for attendees of all agesi,” said Christopher Carey, Greenwood Lake events director.
Among the events will be an after hours party, live entertainment, and the renowned polar plunge event–not for faint-of-heart swimmers. Families will appreciate the heated tent with activities for both kids and adults.
There will a party on Friday, Feb 18, with entertainment from TKA; fireworks on Saturday Feb 19, with entertainment by acoustic duo Mike and Krissie; Sunday, Feb 20, music by Black Dirt Bandits. For more information about this event, click on Villageofgreenwoodlake.org/wintercarnival
Meanwhile, the twin skating rinks at Vine and Oak Streets, will soon be available for skaters as soon as the temperature drops below freezing for a sustained period.
