Gingerbread workshop to help Safe Homes

    Washingtonville — St. Anne’s Episcopal Church is hosting the annual Safe Homes’ Gingerbread Project on Saturday, Dec. 10. There will be two seatings, at 10 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Participants make colorful gingerbread creations to take home and add to their holiday decorations. This event provides an opportunity to meet with friends and neighbors while helping adult and child victims of domestic violence. The suggested donations of $15 and $20 include a small or large gingerbread house kit and a contribution to Safe Homes of Orange County. For reservations call 496-3961. Safe Homes is the Orange County’s only non-profit agency fully dedicated to the elimination of domestic violence through comprehensive services to survivors and education programs that increase public awareness of domestic violence issues.
