Fuller Moon Arts Festival happening soon
Warwick. The festival will take place in Mountain Lake Park Aug. 24.
The Fuller Moon Arts Festival, a celebration of the convergence of performance, art and nature, will take place at Mountain Lake Park (46 Bowen Road, Warwick) on Saturday, August 24, from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. with a rain date of August 25).
Visitors are invited to bring their chairs and picnic blankets and stay all day at Warwick’s summer arts festival.
From 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. visitors can explore “Wonderville,” a village of interactive curiosities, or join in a variety of workshops, such as belly dancing, circle singing, printing-making, and more. The Aiden Woods Jazz Trio and Little Stony Point band will provide live music, while the Warwick Broadway Collective and Fiddle Frenzy bring talented young performers to the stage.
At 5 p.m., watch an improv dance collaboration with the Steve Rubin Jazz Ensemble and Warwick Dance Collective, and at 6 p.m., enjoy the premiere of “Meliora,” a site-specific, mythological ballet presented by Warwick Center for the Performing Arts. As the moon rises, visitors are invited to join the fun in the lakeside pavilion dance party with acrobats, drummers, performers, and dancers from the Forces of Nature Dance Theatre youth group.
The festival will also include a variety of food trucks, a lakeside bar, and a curated maker market.
The festival is suitable for all ages and abilities. Tickets for a day and night of entertainment are $10 for adults and $5 for seniors and children 6 to 18, available at the gate. Kids under 6 get in free. There is also free parking.
