Fall festivals showcase the rich culture and harvest of the Hudson Valley

GOSHEN — Autumn means festival season in the Hudson Valley. There’s no better way to enjoy the perfect weather and vibrant colors of fall than by heading to one of these family friendly outdoor events.
From live music and craft vendors to local produce and games, each festival offers a unique atmosphere and schedule of events.
“Pumpkin and apple are not only part of our autumn harvest, they’re just two of the colors in our beautiful fall foliage,” said Orange County Tourism Director Susan Hawvermale. “With dozens of fall festivals throughout the season, there are so many fun ways to celebrate the changing of the leaves.”
Here’s a sampling of fall festivals in Orange County to add to your calendar:
Pine Bush Harvest Festival
Saturday, Sept. 16, 9 a.m. to p.m.
Celebrate the harvest in the hamlet of Pine Bush, adjacent to the Shawangunk Mountains. It’s a day of entertainment for all ages with arts and crafts, a farmers market, live music, food, games and more. 845-744-5856, Facebook: Pine Bush Harvest Festival
New York Renaissance Faire
Saturday-Sunday and Labor Day, Aug. 5 - Oct. 1, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Elizabethan England brought to life in Tuxedo’s Sterling Forest. Three hundred costumed characters, dancers, strolling minstrels and storytellers in a Tudor-style marketplace of period crafts and games. Food, drink, horseback joust, and more. 845-351-5171, www.RenFair.com
Fiesta Latina
Saturday, Sept. 16, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Feel the warmth of Latin culture as live salsa music fills the air. Latin icon and recording artists “Cuboricua” will be performing. Warwick Applefest
Sunday, Oct. 1, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
