Elvis is coming to the Greenwood Lake Public Library on Feb. 16
GREENWOOD LAKE — The Greenwood Lake Public Library welcomes Bob James McArthur for his electrifying show, “Elvis is in the House,” on Saturday, Feb. 16, from 2 to 3 p.m.
McArthur has been a professional Elvis Presley impersonator for many years. In playing the entertainer himself, McArthur does a wide range of songs from the early years in 1950's to the 1970's Vegas years.
His outfits are exact replicas of Elvis actual stage wear, including the famous Fringe and Eagle jumpsuits.
McArthur has performed all over North America including New York City, Las Vegas, and Memphis. He has portrayed Elvis for The History Channel and Japanese television.
He is an ordained minister with the Universal Life Church and has performed Las Vegas-style Elvis wedding ceremonies and vow renewals for many.
In addition to Elvis, McArthur has also appeared as Roy Orbison, Frank Sinatra, Englebert Humberdinck, a “Blues Brother” and Neil Diamond.
In 2011, McArthur played a Neil Diamond impersonator for the Mickey Rooney film "Bamboo Shark”.
McArthur’s work has been featured in articles in the Miami Herald, Palm Beach Post, Chicago Tribune, New York Times, Daily News, New York Post, and Vice Magazine.
He has performed for such celebrities as Debra Messing, Michael J. Fox, Vincent Pastore, Chubby Checker, Kelly Ripa and O.J. Simpson.
