Concerts to resume at Pacem in Terris

    WARWICK—Pacem in Terris's concert season opens Sunday, June 5, with an all-Bach celebration. The program begins with J.S. Bach's Cello Suite lV played by Theodore Mook, well known for his interpretations of contemporary music as well as Bach solo suites. Mezzo soprano Mary Nessinger will sing Cantata 170 and Cantata 82's recitativos and arias. Accompanying her will be Kent Tritle, harpsichord continuo; Sarah Davol, oboe, oboe d'amore; Wolfgang Tsoutsouris, Jorge Avila, violins; Liuh-Wen Ting, viola; and Arthur Fiacco, cello continuo. The program will end with a brief contemporary composition by Ezra Sims, "In Memoriam," composed after the passing of Theodore Mook's mother. Pacem in Terris is located at 96 Covered Bridge Road in Warwick. Tickets go on sale at 4 p.m.; no reservations. The suggested donation is $8, adults; $4, children.
