'Come Blow Your Horn' opens in Tuxedo next weekend

Tuxedo — George F. Baker Tuxedo High School will present Neil Simon’s first play, “Come Blow Your Horn,” on Friday and Saturday Nov. 4 and 5, at 7 p.m., and Sunday, Nov. 6, at 2 p.m. Simon’s comedy premiered in the United States in 1961 and had a London production in 1962 at the Prince of Wales Theatre. The following year, it came out as a movie starring Frank Sinatra. The play tells the story of a young man’s decision to leave the home of his parents for the bachelor pad of his older brother who leads a swinging '60s lifestyle. Sinatra played the older brother. The cast members of the George F. Baker Tuxedo High School production are Xavier Piedra, Dean Mahoney, Alexis DelaRosa, Christian Ruiz, Amanda Torres, Kylie Powers and Maria Morgan. The play’s co-directors are Thomas Smith and Meghan Zwart. Tickets are $10 for adults and $8 for students and senior citizens and may be purchased at the door.
