Three years ago at this time, after 17 years of successful business in Sugar Loaf, Bertoni Gallery opened a new location at 50 Main St. in the Village of Warwick.

On Wednesday, Sept. 23, Town of Warwick Supervisor Michael Sweeton, Warwick Valley Chamber of Commerce President James Mezzetti and chamber members joined owner Rachel Bertoni, local artists, associates and friends to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Bertoni Gallery with a traditional ribbon-cutting.

Before opening her gallery in Sugar Loaf, Bertoni had been a professional designer in the jewelry industry for 30 years. Her jewelry had been featured in television, magazines such as Chronogram, National Jeweler, Orange, Promenade and Hollywood films.. Jennifer Lopez, for example, wore her jewelry in the movie “The Back-up Plan.”

In addition to her jewelry, Bertoni also creates mixed media collages, sculptures, and has been commissioned to create replicas of ancient artifacts as well as many different jewelry items for various jewelry manufactures.

In 2017 the gallery expanded to the Village of Warwick featuring her work as well as an array of other artists’ creations in various mediums offering jewelry, leather, glass, stitchery, ceramics, recycled items and fine art.

Many of the artists do custom work as well. And Bertoni Gallery also has an eclectic mix of international and vintage items.

“What a day we had celebrating Bertoni Gallery’s 20th Anniversary,” said Bertoni. “Many of the local artists came to show their support along with many of our loyal customers. Thank you and here’s to another 20 years.”

Bertoni Gallery is open Wednesday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and on Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.as well as by appointment.
