Applewood Winery to host Rockin' Blues Music Festival

    WARWICK-The Rockin' Blues Music Festival will be held at Applewood Winery in Warwick on Saturday, Aug. 28 from 1 to 6 p.m. The festival marks the winery's tenth anniversary. "Rockin' Blues" will consist of several Hudson Valley bands including Nailed Shut, Foley Road, Patty V and Big J, Brothers Bound, who perform a wide range of folk and classic rock. The headliner, Piet Koster's Mudbelly Blues Band, features Jerry Patterson, formerly of Gladys Knight and the Pips. The Mudbelly Blues Band is known for their Chicago style blues that "jump, swing, boogie and moan". The tasting room will be open during the festival and light lunch will be available at Applewood Café. No outside beverages are allowed. Ticket price will be $10 in advance and $12 at the door.
