Animator shows where the lines can be drawn
Middletown “Animation is used everywhere,” according to John Grimaldi Jr., the owner, director, producer, and animator of 8 Hats High Animation & Production in Middletown. He gave Tony the Tiger and the Simpsons as two examples. Grimaldi, who has an AA in Computer Animation from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh, will present a master class, “Animation/VFX: Commercials to TV series” on Wednesday, March 3, at 9:30 a.m. in Harriman Hall 111 Film Theatre. This is free and open to the public; no registration is required. Grimaldi has designed this class in order to explain how animation is created and used in various forms. The class should be of interest to a broad spectrum - from the novice to writers, illustrators, animators, video and film students, to computer geeks. Harriman Hall is located at the corner of Wawayanda and East Conkling avenues, Middletown, on the campus of Orange County Community College.
