An afternoon of ‘Rock N Polka’ coming soon

This year’s Summerfest promises to be an afternoon of “Rock N Polka” as The Tokens join Jimmy Sturr & His Orchestra on Sunday, July 14, at PLAV Pavilion in Pine Island.

The Tokens, under the direction of Jay Siegel, will be singing many of their hits, including “The Lion Sleeps Tonight.” Siegel, known for his falsetto on the classic mega-hit, also produced hits for Tony Orlando and produced The Chiffons’ “One Fine Day” with Neil Sedaka.

Winner of 18 Grammys, Sturr’s is the only band to appear four times on stage at the Grand Ole Opry and has recorded with Willie Nelson, The Oak Ridge Boys, Charlie Daniels, Lee Greenwood and Alison Krauss. Sturr also has a nationally televised TV show, plus a weekly show on Sirius/XM.
