NEW YORK — Longtime Warwick resident and actress Donna Haley is now appearing in the Glass Bandits Theater Company's new play "feeling," which opened Oct. 7 at The New Ohio Theatre, 154 Christopher St. in lower Manhattan.

In the play, a comedy written by Paul Cameron Hardy and directed by Eddie Prunoske, Emma's boyfriend left her. Her younger brother flew in to make sure she eats. She has papers to grade, a thesis to write and the rest of her life to figure out. She's also been drinking and talking with serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer.

Enter Janet, played by Haley. She's a professor at the University of Wisconsin and is Emma's doctoral advisor.

Many local residents know Haley from her 16 years as director of Warwick's MCC Actor Training School.

In her career as an actress, however, Haley's Broadway credits include Blanche in Neil Simon's "Brighton Beach Memoirs," and the National Tour of Mike Nichol's "Social Security."

She is also an original member of the MCC Theater, New York City and has performed the classics extensively, particularly Shakespeare, in theaters here and in Canada.

Haley has also appeared on soap operas and commercials along with a running role on the TV hit series "Law and Order." She also played Katrina with Vanessa Redgrave in the film, "Playing for Time," a story by Arthur Miller about a group of women musicians trying to survive in a Nazi concentration camp.

As the director of her own coaching and training business, Act Well Your Part, she works with business professionals on their skills for communication, relationship building and clarity.

"I'm delighted to be in this new play and a part of the Glass Bandits, stealing my way back on stage after a bit of a hiatus," Haley said.
