'9/11 Never Forget' mobile exhibit stops at Warwick Valley High School on Sept. 28 and 29

WARWICK — An unique educational exhibit will come to Warwick Valley High School to teach its students about the historic events of 9/11 on Wednesday, Sept. 28, and Thursday, Sept. 29.
There are also designated times for community members to tour the exhibit.

1,000-square-foot exhibit

The "9/11 Never Forget" mobile exhibit is designed as a tool to educate America’s youth about the events of that day.
The exhibit is a high-tech, 53-foot tractor-trailer which unfolds into a 1,000-square -foot exhibit that serves as a poignant reminder of that tragic day.
The Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation and the Siller family created the exhibit in 2013 as a tribute to those whose lives were sacrificed on Sept. 11, 2001.
It also honors the memory of their brother, Stephen, a New York City firefighters who lost his life after strapping on his gear and running through the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel to the Twin Towers.

Interactive

The memorial provides interactive education, including artifacts such as steel beams from the towers, documentary videos, recordings of first-responder radio transmissions and live tours by firefighters.
The exhibit will be set up directly outside the doors of the high school New Gym on the parking lot side of the building.

Viewings

Area firefighters will be present to discuss the exhibit with students, teachers and community members during these times:
• For WVHS students: 7:40 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
• Open to the community: 3:30 to 5:30 p.m.
