Justice Barlet: A privilege to serve Warwick'
To the editor: It has been my privilege to serve the citizens of the Warwick community as Town Justice for the last 16 years. On Nov. 8, I will be asking for your support for re-election to this important position. As the current Town Justice, I have attempted to administer justice in a fair, straight-forward and open manner. I remain committed to seeing that the rule of law is obeyed and that those convicted of crimes are properly punished for their actions. I continue to be personally concerned about the enforcement of our drunk driving and vehicle and traffic laws, and pledge to continue my insistence that these statutes be strictly enforced for your protection. As in the past, I will be available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, to assist victims of domestic violence in securing orders of protection and to aid police agencies with the arraignment of criminal defendants and the issuance of warrants. In each of the above ways, I believe that I can continue to make a positive contribution to the Warwick community and ask for your continuing support in this regard. I look forward to meeting as many long-time and new neighbors as possible within the next few weeks. Peter D. Barlet Warwick Town Justice
