St. Stephen's fourth- and sixth-grade girls CYO basketball teams are Orange County champions

WARWICK — The fourth- and sixth-grade girls CYO basketball teams are Orange County champions.
The fourth-grade team defeated St. Patrick's from Highland Mills by a score of 19-13.
The sixth-grade team also played the squad from St. Patrick's, winning by a score of 37-13.
Both teams start the run for state titles on Saturday, March 11, at John S. Burke High School in Goshen.
The sixth grade team is schedule to play the Dutchess County CYO champion at 12:30 p.m. The winner from this game will move on to Rockland County to play Sunday at 2:20 p.m.
The fourth grade team plays at noon Saturday.
Coach Deb Girardi, who coaches both teams, singled out Meghan McGourty and Dr. Larry Washington for their help this season.
