Warwick. Warwick Chocolate Company celebrates official grand opening
Owner Victor Gelman explained that his family owned Warwick Chocolate Company is fortunate to be located in a community that is full of talented and highly skilled artists, craftsmen, farmers and food artisans that excel in their respective fields and together form the foundation of what is considered one of the most dynamic and diverse regions of New York State.
On Tuesday, Nov. 16, state, county and local officials along with members of the Warwick Valley Chamber of Commerce joined Gelman, his family, friends and associates to celebrate the official grand opening of the Warwick Chocolate Company, 16 Railroad Ave., with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.
Gelman, who lives with his family in the Village of Warwick, had previously owned a wholesale chocolate manufacturing business.
“I decided the best way to showcase my skills,” he said, “was to serve customers directly.”
Gelman added that the mission of the Warwick Chocolate Company is to integrate the diversity as well as incorporate the talents of friends and neighbors who are the artists, farmers and artisans of Orange County into the collaborative creations of a chocolate shop, where there is a variety of chocolates that are both beautiful and delicious.
Featured products include 28 flavors of chocolate bars with many vegan options.
Several are made with locally sourced ingredients such as Rogowski Farm potato chip bar, Greenwood Lake Coffee Roasters bar and Warwick Valley Olive oil savory bar.
All chocolate truffles are hand-made with real ingredients. No flavoring or artificial colorants are used.
Truffles with locally sourced ingredients include Greenwood Lake roasters hazelnut coffee in dark chocolate and Warwick Valley Cabernet Frank in dark chocolate
