    — Sustainable Warwick invites you to participate in Drawdown EcoChallenge from April 3-24.
While the debate over addressing climate change with large-scale projects swirls both in New York State and in the nation, it’s encouraging to know that citizens themselves can have an impact by their own actions. EcoChallenge offers many specific ways people can contribute.
The term “drawdown” refers to proven methods of drawing down the amount of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere. These methods were researched, evaluated, and ranked by effectiveness by scientists and economists who contributed to the book "Drawdown," edited by Paul Hawken (available at Albert Wisner Public Library).
A competitionEcoChallenge, based on solutions in that book, is a competition between teams to earn the most points for actions accomplished.
Sustainable Warwick has a team and invites anyone (even those not in Warwick) to join. Sign up at https://drawdown.ecochallenge.org/teams/sustainable-warwick and check over the website for instructions and information.
The solutions are grouped into categories such as “Girls and Women,” “Food,” “Transport" and “Electricity Generation.”
Select one or more and then view information and the many actions under each category.
