Students recognized for academic excellence

    MONROE —Aldo Filippone, principal of Monroe-Woodbury High School announced Monday that the following students, members of the senior class, have been recognized for their scholastic achievement in high school by the New York State Education Department. They are: Scott Barenfeld, Michael Beyar, Robert Casilli, Daisy Chang, Yuhe Cong, Ashley Elmendorf, Brian Flanney, Craig Franco, Shivani Hajela, Judith Kaufman, Erik Kopping, Eric McCurry, Stephen Moltzen, Matthew Perlstein, Rachel Rosmarin, Paul Schulze, William Smith, Erich Tusch, Hannah Wagner, and Courtney Wong. These students have been awarded annual Scholarships for Academic Excellence towards full-time study at schools located in New York State. Filippone offered congratulations to all on their outstanding academic accomplishment.
