Science teachers to hold Voucher Book Fair

NEWBURGH-On Saturday, Oct. 29, and Sunday, Oct. 30, the Science Teachers Association of New York State’s southeastern section will hold a “Voucher Book Fair” at Barnes & Noble Booksellers in Newburgh, Poughkeepsie, Nanuet and Nyack. The theme of the book fair is “Science is Magic!” Teachers dressed as wizards will be doing demonstrations, as well as reading science theme stories to children. When patrons use a voucher, available at www.stanysse.org, to purchase books, the southeastern section will receive a percentage of the net sales for the two days. Association members who register at the Newburgh store will receive a gift in appreciation of their support. Teachers who are not yet members can register at the Newburgh store and receive a $5 discount on their registration. Barnes & Noble Booksellers is located at 1245 Route 300 (Union Ave) in Newburgh.
