WARWICK — The Warwick Valley Chamber of Commerce has an important new team player, Bea Arner, at its "Caboose" office on South St.

Former Tourism Coordinator and office assistant Jerrica Lavooy recently left the chamber for what are literally greener pastures. She now works outdoors for the New York - New Jersey Trail Conference on a crew responsible for preserving parkland and trails.

Arner is a recent graduate from the accredited Lawrence Herbert School of Communication at Hofstra University where she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism.

During her final year at Hofstra, Arner discovered a knack for marketing and graphic design. While doing freelance social media marketing for a local business, she immersed herself in Design and PhotoShop, allowing her creative side to show.

Close to graduation, Arner, a native of Warwick, heard of a position available at the Warwick Valley Chamber of Commerce requiring graphic design, marketing and writing ability. She soon met with Executive Director Michael Johndrow and Office Manager Sarah Armand and everyone agreed it was a perfect fit.

"We're really fortunate to find someone with a foundation in writing and graphic design," said Johndrow, "Bea has adjusted very well to this important position."

Arner will be working on everything from social media marketing and graphic design to basic planning for upcoming major Chamber events such as The Taste of Warwick, Applefest and Community Showcase.
