| 22 Nov 2016 | 10:41

WARWICK — Warwick’s Repair Café will have a special holiday event Sunday, Nov. 27, at Wickham Woodlands Manor, 255 School House Road, from noon to 4 p.m. in conjunction with the Meet Your Maker Holiday Gift Market.
It’s a perfect chance to provide a loved one, or yourself, a gift that used to be broken.
The Nov. 27 event will feature Repair Coaches, guys and gals with superior technical skills, who can make basic jewelry, cobbler, lamp, small appliance and guitar repairs.
Repairs available (note that these are different from those offered at the first Repair Café): earring wires replaced, clasps fixed, beads replaced, matched, glued or rewired; shoes polished, suede cleaned, holes punched in belts and bags, belts shortened, basic leather stitching, buttons sewn on leather coats, and zippers repaired; basic wiring and minor repairs of lamps, and other small appliances, rewiring of mirror backs and picture frames, basic guitar stringing and set up.
Repairs are free except for a charge for lamp replacement parts, but donations gratefully accepted.
Limit two items per person.
