| 19 May 2019 | 03:05

It's an all day live music performance to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Woodstock as well as that of Radio WTBQ and the Warwick Valley Humane Society's Animal Shelter.
On Saturday, June 8, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., the Warwick Town Park at 117 Union Corners Road, will play host to popular bands, duos and a DJ.
The musical lineup
The all day live music will feature bands like New York Retro Rocker, Way Behind The Sun, The Armonia Band, The Ric Skinner Band and Jerry The Bulldog along with duos Cohen & Klee and Fisher & Keen and DJ $hark.
The event is sponsored by Radio WTBQ (AM 1100 and 93.5FM) and Tom Lovelace.
Proceeds to help fund new animal shelter
All proceeds will go to help benefit the Warwick Valley Humane Society's campaign for a new animal shelter.
After receiving a $500,000 state grant and approximately $325,000 in additional funds, the Warwick Valley Humane Society launched a capital campaign to raise the funds needed to build a $1.5 million state-of-the-art animal shelter.
The new facility would help to solve the society's severe overcrowding as it provides shelter and support for hundreds of rescued dogs, cats and other animals.
The Warwick Valley Humane Society serves the towns of Warwick, Chester and Tuxedo.
More than just music
During the WOOFstock all day performance guests will also have an opportunity to sample refreshments served by food trucks including United Cheese Steaks of America, Empanada Master, The Bus, Hudson Valley, Potenza Pizza, Lil Fries, Crumb, Cupcakes, Sweet Central Express and Glenmere Brewing.
There will be other fun events including a psychic, face painting, balloon art and a 50/50 raffle.
And you can sponsor a band.
Sponsorship opportunities are still available and sponsors will receive media coverage and be invited to be a guest on WTBQ. Your name and or your business will be on the bandstand and instruments along with mentions throughout the event.
For information on each level of sponsorship email Taylor@wtbq.com
Admission to WOOFstock on June 8 is $10.
